Professional
Professional wrestling was organized as a sport in the ancient Greek and Roman times.  Gladiators would wrestle for life and death in most competition.  Professional wrestling was once the most watched sport.  The ways to win were to cripple your opponent or pin him.  In the pro wrestling of today it is just an exhibition or staged event.

Freestyle
Freestyle was derived from pro wrestling. The danger was taken from the sport to make a safe environment for the athletes. A good thing to remember about freestyle and greco-roman wrestling is that the aggressor will win the match, and while wrestling on the mat after a takedown the bottom man doesnt have to do anything but try not to get turned over.  Ways to win: Pin, tech fall (10 point lead), or win by points at end of match.

Greco-Roman
The only difference between Freestyle and Greco-Roman is that in Greco-Roman wrestling you cant use, or attack the body below the waist.  Points are pretty much scored the same way.

Folkstyle
Folkstyle wrestling is the closest you can get to an ancient wrestling match.  The wrestlers are constantly trying to escape the others hold while at the same time trying to pin the opposition.  Ways to win: Pin, by points, and 15 point tech fall.
